What is the Charter Hill Society?

The Charter Hill Society is a group of alums, parents, and friends who share a lasting affinity for UC Berkeley and an extraordinary commitment to preserving and enhancing its excellence in education, research, and public service. Your total annual giving of $1,000 or more during the fiscal year (July 1–June 30) to any school, college, department, or program on the Berkeley campus establishes and sustains your membership in this special philanthropic circle. Current students and recent alums are also welcomed with reduced levels of annual giving.

Kathleen Mashek Stasulis ’72 and Steve Stasulis

Although Kathleen Stasulis lives far from Berkeley today, she grew up in neighboring Oakland — and knew all about Cal’s excellence and rich history long before enrolling as a student. “Although my parents didn’t attend Berkeley, we had friends and family who did,” she recalls. “They often hosted a party for the Big Game, so I sort of grew up with the Cal traditions.”
